Cyberpunk x Egyptian Mythology
In this brief, I wanted to explore the idea of what the cyberpunk genre might look like if it had Ancient Egyptian inspirations.
I added a rhythm game aspect to the brief and looked into traditional Egyptian instruments to gather shapes/patterns that I can then use later in the development process.
2024 Artbook
Mafdet is an old Egyptian cat goddess of justice, judgement, and execution. She was known as a protector of Ra, so in my version of her I turned her into a bodyguard/assassin for a mafia boss known as Ra.
Mafdet's companion & Ra
For Mafdet's companion, I explored the idea of possibly giving her a falcon that Ra uses to assist her on missions, or a little robot similar to the Ghosts from Destiny.
I also made some sketches of what Ra could look like. I combined formal attire with ancient Egyptian clothing, focusing on adding the red sun as a main focus in his design.
